Atlanta

Bethany & Douglas

This is Douglas and Bethany. We were in Atlanta with them over the weekend. What an amazing couple! Seriously. Girls just don’t get any more beautiful and elegant….and Douglas, well he looked like he stepped right out of a rock album. They were up for any and everything. That def makes my life easy. I wished we could have had more TIME to execute more shots of them but that’s just me….I just love to shoot and get carried away with the time.

For some of the shots they struck as moody and eclectic, such as this one…….it was just a dramatic shot and I tried to emphasize that.  They are leaving to live in England in a couple weeks. I can’t wait to put together their album to take and show off.

The wedding party was great. There was zero complaining about how hot it was or that they didn’t want to do this. I think they wanted the best for Bethany and Douglas and endured the heat and the ant bites and just sucked it up! Thanks guys.  Douglas I think invaded an ant bed and paid the price.  But we forged on and got some really Kick ass images!

Next life, I hope to come back looking like Bethany. Not only is she beautiful but she is a missionary doing God’s work. Sacrificing her wants and needs for others. Her and Douglas will be residing in England to continue their work. She has already traveled half the world at the age of 21. Umm, I’ve been to Ohio and Atlanta so she has had quite the life so far. A great family too I must add. Her parents are ministers that had adopted Bethany when she was 4 days old and they brought her up with such love that she blossomed into an amazing woman. Any mother could not want anything more for her daughter. Thanks to the family for being so warm and open to us invading their lives and space. We enjoyed our time with you.

Thank you for sharing with the world!
I love how you see things. :)

Whether I’m ready or not. I’m posting!

I’ve finally got my blog ready and I’m kind of lost! This is pretty new to me. Now if I can figure out how to get photographs on here too, I’d be set. Whaddya know? A photographer that doesn’t know how to get her photographs on her blog.

I’ve been really busy these past few weeks. My weddings have slowed down a bit until August but I’m doing many of the bridal, engagement and boudoirs for all of my clients that is really keeping me hopping! I recently met  a few new people and met up with some older faces (Erica!) that I have missed. One of the funnest things about my job is getting to meet new people and being voyeuristic in their lives. I’m an observer by nature and love more than anything to watch people just be themselves. People are so interesting and carry such amazing tales with them. I can see why normal people that actually watch TV become intwined in reality TV b/c people are mesmerizing. I really adore being part of that yarn that is weaved to document their stories.

I’m going to try really hard to be a dedicated blogger.  I will try to update as much as possible and hope that this becomes my newest addiction rather than chocolate or coffee! I have many undying habits that need to be forced out of my life- and therefore room to create more.  By the way- I have given up coffee and chocolate and have been clean for 4 wks. (My name is Tomme……..)

Please be patient with me as I learn blog land (I’m reading all the cliff notes now!).
