Few Links I want to share

Here are a few links of some things to think about, check out, decide to be different- to just look at and never open…..

The first one is from a fellow photographer and instead of repeating what she said I just linked to her blog- these things are crucial in planning phases of your day. Some things to think about.

Some of you may remember Rena and Joe

The wedding. Now meet Rena and Joe and Darby. The family.

I can’t begin to tell you how much I love these two! And now that there is an extension of the two of them -EVEN BETTER!  Darby is 5 months old now and cute as ever. She thought we were a little looney coming to invade her house! But she was wide eyed and curious the whole time. That’s a great sign of intelligence.

I am so glad to still be friends with Rena and Joe and seriously, I am so fortunate to have made great friends with them.

I love this sign. Just like my red sofa gets a work out. So does this sign. I mean, I can only afford so many great props….but if anyone out there has some cool stuff they don’t use or need anymore and want to donate shoot me an email.

It was a lot of work, and she smiled a few good times. But she def. had bright wonderlust eyes that seemed soulful. I asked Rena and Joe what some phrases they typically use in the house regarding Darby is and to write them on your hands.  Rena wrote: ‘Meltdown in progress!’  While Joe’s pick was: ‘It’s your Turn!’  Laugh! Makes me remember those days all too well.

We also did some tender sweet shots. I always love the shots thats just skin. It seems so intimate amongst them and shows comfort.

Then we pulled out some photos of when Rena and Joe themselves were Rugrats! In the scheme of it all, it’s really never THAT long ago…..how time flies. The only things we have are the photographs that transcends the years into moments.

And furthermore- I will add that I like adding poetry to some of my photographs. Sappy or not, some photos just call out emotions or wisdom to me. This one really says to me that Joe first loves the wife by the way he looks at her, if he can do that then he is able to love and appreciate the mother that has become.

Thanks Rena and Joe for getting us kicked out of the Mexican restaurant.. he he. We were just so involved in talking and having fun that the restaurant shut down and we were clueless, until they turned the lights off on us. I think that really means you must enjoy your friends if you can find them that interesting to shut down a place.

Well, just a note- Shark week on Discovery is over and here’s what I learned.

1. Stay out of the Ocean

2. Swim where there is chlorine

3. Never go into the Ocean!

Can you imagine getting eaten, bitten by a shark? OMG…… strangely odd but since I live at the coast this is something that has always haunted me. I used to live in the midwest and love being by the coast but that doesn’t mean I want to swim w sharks. That happens enough when you have a business.

Ok, what I did learn is- Sharks are way more attracted and aggressive by the color yellow. Wear black to be safest. Great Whites attack from underneath. Tiger sharks are less likely to attack if you are moving than stay still. Don’t wear swim suits with patterns that resemble sea turtles. And Don’t wear Chum for perfume.

Gives me the eebie jeebies!

Until next time, stay at the pool! xoxoxoxo

Sabrina Scott - Is there an end to your talent, wit and sense of humor? I love to read your comments, blogs, your “thinking out loud moments”…you are hilarious, clever and crazy all in one! I love to see you become better and better as a professional photographer as well as an artist and human being in general. It is so unfortunate we don’t get more time to spend together. Love ya and I’m so very proud of you!!
