Secret Unleashed: Loft Noire

So officially, this is my boudoir studio’s name:  I have decided I will be specializing solely in weddings and boudoir.  Take what you do best and do it even better. So that’s what I’m doing. This doesn’t mean I won’t do other types of photography on occasion, but these are my two loves and I plan to concentrate on refining them artistically. I have narrowed down what I prefer to do and these sessions are what motivate me.   I have officially launched my new site and business: http://www.LoftNoire.com.

LOFT NOIRE. Which essentially means ‘The Black Loft’. I deliberated a name for a while and kept coming back to it. I like how mysterious and sexy it sounds. It kind of just rolls off the tongue. And really nothing is sexier than the french language. So Voila. ahem. I couldn’t help throwing that one in there… sorry, I got on a roll. Oh yeah, the studio is black so there is the rhyme to the reason.

And while most of my brides end up buying a package for the mister, it is an entirely separate entity.

I am still running a ‘pay the rent special’ until March 31st. Packages are half off until midnight, that’s the stroke of twelve am folks. If you lock in the rate, we can schedule the session anytime. I need to pay the rent peeps but I can’t give away my services eternally. I gotta feed the chil-ren too.  So send me an email if you are interested.

I am not going to post anymore images on this blog as it is offensive to those stuffy people that can’t see beyond bra straps..which is one reason I decided to separate myself as a wedding photographer and a boudoir artist. Some folks never see beyond the skin. Believe me kids, it’s just easier this way.

Krista - I adore the name that you chose for the boudoir studio!

And I love our boudoir photos. All of the work that you do is stunning.

Charlie and Ashley, the infamous

Many times my relationship with couples in our busy lives is via email. Sometimes I never even meet them as they are destination brides and grooms so I find it awesome to meet my couples and connect with them, if even just for an hour or two. I got to spend a bit of time with C&A and their dogs.. although I’m not sure Ruby really liked me after all.

Charlie and Ashley met via E harmony, which I think is AWESOME…. it’s so hard to meet the right person. Many of my friends go from person to person without any luck, so it’s always a good thing when there is a tool to put the right people in the right circumstances.

Here are some shots we got:

I just loved the wood grain in this photo.

I love how tight she has him held.

football fans.

I have this odd effect on people.

They are getting married beginning of April at Debordieu Plantation. I love beach weddings, when it’s not so hot that the sweat causes the sand to stick eternally to locations you weren’t sure were yours.  I love how casual they are about it. I didn’t ask but I have to wonder if the dogs will be there dressed in their bests.? I guess I will be posting that soon enough! :)

Until later.

Tell the church lady to just keep playing the organ……

The secret is thisclose to being fully released.

Here is a sample album of the secret.

*boudoirs* shhhhh, it’s our secret… people get really uptight about these sometimes (there is always a church lady that never really got over her inhibitions– that will always make some stink about it, and not so much because she thinks it’s scandalous, but because she don’t have the courage to do it herself!)  so I gotta keep this under somewhat wraps and have more info shortly to be announced. We don’t need her chasing you around town with the revelations.

I have to admit. I find boudoirs the MOST gratifying of all the work I do.  Women deal with issues consistently on how to be beautiful, maintain beautiful and compete with models on the covers of magazines and in videos. I love when a woman comes to me….. Instantly. They ARE that model. They ARE beautiful. There are no boundaries. That is liberating. There is no better time than right now to be that woman you think is beautiful. That he finds so sexy and beautiful.  There is no reason to worry about that extra 5 lbs. There is always going to be an excuse – before you know it, time has passed you by. Don’t be one of those that procrastinated your thoughts away!

Because of my intro and getting my new space. I need to pay rent. That means a deal for you!

Half off my session rates until March 31st.  Lock in the rate and pay now to book after March 31st.  That means 250 for 3 changes and 2.5 hours in the studio.  That! Is an AMAZING rate!! Since I’ve put the word out on Facebook,  all my weekends are booked until August. I still have weekday slots available.  [You can do them after work on a weekday as well!] No sweat.

You take care of yourself. You take vitamins. You go to the gym. You eat right and spend money on beauty treatments, hair and spa. You spend time doing your hair and make up. You buy the clothes that make you feel beautiful.  You should be the beauty you intended to be. Capture you in your essence.  You already spend money on yourself as you are that independent woman that doesn’t need to have an excuse to do something for yourself. He will love it. You will feel amazing about yourself and about the results. The letters I’ve received from the women that have modeled sessions have brought me to tears. Giving them that freeing gift of being beautiful and over the fearfulness of flaws and weight- no longer restricting them.. is an amazing experience for us both. As women.

Forever. Beautiful. That is highly gratifying as an artist and rewarding to you, the client for eternally being beautiful.

I am putting together a sample album for you to view. All of my package sessions include an album. This is an example of some of the pages.  Put yourself in the place of Miss S. She’s classy. She’s beautiful. She’s now timeless.  She’s You!                   Enjoy

Blog Police?

Bleh Bleh….. I know, I’m getting grief from the blog police for being absent for EVER! Yeah I got that! Ok, so I SUCK at blogging. No surprise. Hell, I’m admitting it freely……. I’m visual and my words come from my photos.. so blogging isn’t at the top of my ‘YAY! Guess what I want to do today list?’….Ok, I’m bitching…. my husband knows that voice all too well. So once I have acknowledged my slackness (Ok, and let me just express here, I’m really NOT a slacker – I’ve been making albums and getting ready to launch something new and exciting and all my free time – all those 10 minutes in any given day- have been devoted to these projects!)…..There. I’ve purged. I’ve confessed. All is better now! [That's all]!!  – I will just laugh and say, I went to log in to post here and TOTALLY forgot all my passwords and my url– uh huh, it’s been a while. Sue me already.

First of all, I have some favorites that I want to share with you.  This is the song/group I listen to when I edit. I *heart* this group… Gold frapp Oooh La La

One of my most favorite reads…when I used to have time to read. Is Ken Follett, ‘A Place called Freedom’. A girlfriend had to read it for an assignment and I just thought it looked good…  read it and instantly became a Ken Follett fan. He really is a great author. And I don’t get much of a chance to read, but if I do get a moment I do NOT want to be bored to tears with a Nicholas Sparks wine fest….. I liked the ‘Notebook.’ but I read ‘A bend in the road’ by him. Gag. Seriously, it was Sooo predictable that I could barely believe I wasted my time on it.

Something else I love is astrology. Ok, let me verify – I am not a fanatic about it~! I’m not a new age weirdo, but I do think it’s interesting. AND…. I know that my sign is VERY MUCH similar to my personality.

  • Strong-willed, stubborn, obstinate (My poor mother used to hate dealing w my stubborn streak)
  • Very opinionated, (I resemble that.)
  • Far-sighted, visionary, revolutionary (Still waiting on my revolutionary moment)
  • Original, innovative and inventive (I’d like to think so?)
  • Tolerant of other views, seeing both sides of the argument, unprejudiced and (always thought I’d be the worlds WORST judge. I see everyone’s side of a disagreement.)
  • Humane, humanitarian, altruistic (check)
  • Idealistic, having high expectations (makes second shooters HATE working w me)
  • Free-spirited, rebellious (Umm, got to the point, I could work for no one but me.. for various reasons. I have high expectations and I have little tolerance for anything less than great)
  • Independent and individualistic (Uh huh)
  • Intelligent, intellectual, curious and seeking mental challenge.Yes, get bored way too easily!
  • Very clever, witty (?)
  • Imaginative and Intuitive (Very intuitive.)
  • Unwilling to participate in any standard of protocol (Unwilling is a strong word. Kicking and screaming? That seems more realistic.)
Some famous Aquarians are.. Ronald Reagan, Oprah Winfrey and Jennifer Anniston.
Do you really care? Maybe not.  Eccentric? Laughing. Eh. just a little. I’ve never really followed everyone else’s rules of what is right or wrong. But that doesn’t make me different. I remember when I was younger everyone used to say.. ‘She definitely beats a different drum.’ And I had no clue what that meant back then. I thought they were all delirious, because I certainly didn’t travel around with a drum.? I guess even then I stayed on my own path in life. I don’t and never have let anyone else influence what I wanted and what it took to get there. I was never the kid in high school peer pressured into smoking pot behind the bleachers at school. I was an artsy fartsy nerdy type. I think. And I think I still may be. Holy Crap! I’ve still not grown up.
And since I’m talking about my idiosyncracies:  I have a fetish with shoes. Always have. When I was little, I hoarded shoes from my female family members. When I was in high school, I was the Asst Mgr for a shoe store in my town. I’ve always had love for shoes. But I hate tie shoes. So, I buy hiking mocs and cowboy boots. Pretty much live in them. Here’s my newest fav.
And I couldn’t quite go to sleep tonight unless I also professed my love for tacky, tasteless cowboy/girl boots. I want every color, every style to wear with every tacky outfit I somehow seem to toss together out of my lackluster closet.  Which is full of black, brown and white…… Oh, puhleese. I’m a wedding photographer.. I can’t exactly wear hot pink to my affairs! Ok, secretly I want to…..but I have too much respect for the bride to do that. ;)

WOMEN'S METALLIC LIME GREEN COWBOY BOOTS

HAND MADE DEER TAN LEATHER COWGIRL BOOTS* VAMP LEATHER : Deer Tan/ Goat
* VAMP COLOR: Metallic Lime green
* TUBE LEATHER: Deer Tan / Goat
* TUBE COLOR: Metallic Lime green

LOVE IT! Does that say Metallic? SAH-WING!  Gotta save up my tacky penny fund for those mommies!

Ok, Well tonight that’s enough. I’ll be back…………Eventually.

Joni - Tomme and I are both Aquarians *and* ENFPs!!!!
Wow.

Ok, Tomme. It’s your Aquarius that’s making you love shoes.
Aqua rules the ankle region.
Betcha didn’t know that! ;)

I like shoes – don’t love them.
I like clogs better than shoes (heels).
And boots. Yeah, if I had a cowboy rodeo around
where I live, I’d probably love cowboy boots.
But, I’m a boring suburbanite and the only “rodeo”
around me are boring MALLS.

Your work is soooooooooooo beautiful.
I always wanted to be a photographer but I didn’t find
that out till I was in my 40′s.
I’m in love with your work.
If my sons get married, I know who I will choose as
the photographer!
