feel every bit of the woman you are… | Fashion Photoshoot

Tomme Hilton Gallery‘s sister company, Loft Noire has been trying to get women to open up, dive into their feminine side and show off what God gave them! However, we find that many women now-a-days are not at all comfortable with their bodies… since we mostly see women averaging 100 lbs on tv or in magazines with ROCKIN’ bodies… Let’s face it, it’s all Photoshopped.

 

So, Tomme Hilton Gallery collaborated with a little Loft Noire wanted to show that women don’t have to be getting married, having babies or have a happy family to take photos. OR even get completely naked to feel beautiful!!

 

One Friday, we got together a few fun ladies (including myself, Erica Billingsley, Tomme Hilton Gallery’s Assistant) and spent the day shooting! We acted like kids again… trying on different outfits, playing in make up, posing, etc. We litterally tore my entire house apart. It was a dissaster! My livingroom and foyer became the ‘studio’ while my dinning room and bedroom/bathroom became the dressingroom. We had one girl blowing up balloons and moving furniture while the rest of us were doing hair, makeup and gettin dressed for the next shot. Laugh. It was so much fun.

Jessica & Jon Ralph | Wedding

Jessica & Jon Ralph’s G U E S T Blog:

{Our story: John Ralph and I met in 9th grade and were friends throughout high school. He likes to say I “never gave him the time of day”, being the cheerleader from the rival high school, but I always considered him to be someone I admired. He had more drive than most guys and I always knew I would hear about the great things he would accomplish one day. Little did I know, I would be celebrating those accomplishments with him. After we both went our separate ways in college we lost communication for a while. Thanks to social networking (facebook and old school instant messaging) we reconnected in our second year of college. John Ralph invited me to be his date to his sisters debutant ball over christmas break. That night was when things between us started to change into something more than “just friends”. The following february I flew to new york to visit him at West Point and see the big apple. That weekend we knew we were onto something good. Three years, and lots of phone calls, plane rides, and letters later, John Ralph decided to put an end to our long distance relationship by asking me to marry him during a trip to Charleston. We planned a wedding in three weeks so we could move to Italy together for his job (he is an officer in the US Army). And the rest is history!}

YOU are the PHOTOGRAPHER {{C O N T E S T}}

Who hasn’t taken that ONE shot that makes you think……..’DAY-UM, I’m a GOOD photographer?’ That shot is AWESOME.

I have several that I personally LOVE – of my kids, of macro nature shots, of still lives I’ve put together of some of the things I really liked at that time, of people laughing but even in my hobbyist days there were some images that I took that I would just look at over and over and think…. ‘THIS is a good picture!’  Soooo, I want to give you the chance to show off your photography skills! If you are anything like me -you take the pictures and you love them but they never get the credit they deserve.  They go in an album, or on facebook or maybe snapfish where they tend to live out their lives. It’s time to showcase your art, your best work, your proudest shot. Take them out of the drawer,  it’s time they get the brag- rights they deserve.

Whatever category your image falls in: cute, beautiful, sweet, funny or simple – it doesn’t matter. ENTER IT.

The image with the most votes/comments wins. Comments and votes will be calculated from the FB album http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150758893840475.734431.75943060474&type=1 AND this blog. Don’t forget to have your Friends and Family vote on the blog as well. The poor blog gets overlooked :(

Voting ends at midnight August 31st. The winner gets a free session at the location of their choice within 30 miles of the area.  The winner also gets to think about a fun session that they never thought they could have. Funky, themed, in a junkyard (yes, I love junkyards so don’t discount it just yet!) so think outside the box and make this fun to plan for yourself. Let the session we do become your new favorite images!

I keep getting messages about folks living too far away so they won’t be able to cash in on the winnings. Who knows if you might just find a reason to get down this way  OR you can always donate your winnings to someone else.
