Miss H | Boudoir Photography | Loft Noire

Hi there! Long time no post, huh? We do still exist! I promise! Before I blog you my AWESOME Miss H, let me catch you up on US (Tomme and Erica). So, the past couple of weeks have been quite hectic. . . . in NEED of lots of creativity time!! Mean while, I (Erica) have been doing the ‘mommy’ thing and working on my end of the photography spectrum. We have lots coming in the next couple of weeks! Some new sessions, a WEDDING!!, updates on the blog, updates on the website (much over due) and of course managing our FB / Twitter / Pinterest accnts. Whew. Social Network overload! But Hey, don’t act like you don’t like following us!!

Okay, Okay . . . back to our photos!! So recently, Tomme and I have been DYING to have some Boudoir shoots that allow us to post the images! YES, post them! So, if you don’t like Boudoir Sessions, please don’t look. Sorry . . . but we try to appeal to everyone . . . and even the classiest lady has done a Boudoir Session. We’ve worked out a few ‘deals’ with a few ladies who have allowed us to show off their AWESOME sessions!!

Today, we introduce Miss H to our Gallery as one of our lovely Loft Noire ladies. She was super fun and easy to work with! Like most photography sessions, it’s a little unnerving at first (I mean, hey! it’s not often we get in the buff for a stranger). . . but once we got ‘warmed up’ . . . Miss H was quite the natural!! Not much posing was involved . . . just a little ‘Add a hand here’ or a ‘Look in this direction’ or a ‘Give me a little more hip’ . . . even she loved it! Which after all, is the BEST part about these sessions . . . making women feel ‘sexy’ and ‘better’ about themselves. I swear, if I didn’t have one client who didn’t walk away from these sessions going, ‘I can’t believe I look like that.’ OR ‘That was so much fun.’ . . . I probably wouldn’t continue photographing them . . . But knowing we add some spice to a woman’s life . . . make her feel beautiful again . . . AH. I LOVE IT!

Alright, enough of my soap box . . . here is Miss H. ENJOY!

Megan + Spenser | Maternity Session | SC Family Photographer

Meet Megan and Spenser. They will be introducing their first addition, Cooper, to the family in the next 3 weeks!

Megan and Spenser will be one of our few that will follow us from Maternity thru 1 year . . . maybe even 2! We are super excited to be able to capture their growing family and little one! I must say, I am super super stoked about Cooper’s newborn session! Megan has been planning this since the time she found out she was pregnant with him! They already have some awesome props awaiting Cooper’s arrival!!

Till then, enjoy some of Megan and Spenser’s Maternity Session! Megan was a challenge to get into the field of yellow flowers that was surrounded with bees and pollen . . . but is was SO worth it! She did great! And Spenser was such a trooper!!

Claire | 9 Months | Children Photographer

Welcome Claire BACK to our Gallery. If you don’t remember this cute lil’ face, let me remind you . . . Click here . . . This was her sweet newborn shoot. And now, she is 9 months old . . . coming up on a YEAR! I cannot believe it. We also photographed her 3 month’s but, apparently we slacked on the blogging on that one! Whoopsie!

Claire is about to enter her second pageant this up coming weekend . . . so, she needed NEW head shots / body shots / etc for her big debut. She won her first pageant with OUR photos . . . Fingers crossed she will take the tittle again this weekend! Best of luck Claire Bear.

Collins | Newborn Photography | Columbia, SC

About a week or so ago, we welcomed sweet baby Collins Richardson Glenn to our Gallery. She is such a cute lil’ stinker that I got the privilege to see her more than once.

First, let me explain my sessions. My newborn sessions are roughly three hours long and I normally come to you. I want mom and baby to feel as comfortable as they can, esp. right after delivery. I don’t bring many props, as I like for the photos to resemble your home and the babies environment. I take furniture / fabrics / decorative items / blankets / lovies / etc. from around the house to make your images feel more personable.

With that short description said . . . My first visit with Collins started off smooth / productive / enjoyable . . . and then, she pooped. She pooped and peed TWICE all over mom’s curtains. Now, this may sound disastrous to you . . . but please keep in mind, that before she did each of these bowl movements TWICE onto the curtain, she had already done it ONCE in her diaper (and we had confirmed that she ‘may’ do one of these on the curtain . . . and confirmed that the curtain was indeed washable). Now, I wouldn’t say I am a pro nor would I say I could guess perfectly what the babies next bowl movement would be . . . but come on . . . wouldn’t one say that after she had done it ONCE she would be good for a little while? Well, not the case with this little girl! Because she did it yet again on the next blanket. AND yet again during her feeding. Yes. This wee lil’ stinker was quite the stinker! OH, and she spit up on me before I left.

She couldn’t get settled because well . . . she kept going potty all afternoon . . . so we decided to reschedule. ONLY for her to sleep for the next couple days just perfectly! So, when it was finally time for round two . . . ding ding. She was PERFECT. Literally . . . the best sleeping lil’ girl. If you don’t believe me, look at some of her photos. AND guess what she didn’t do the ENTIRE TIME . . . POOP or PEE. Duh. She had already done enough the session prior to last an entire week! j.

Now tell me lil’ Collins isn’t perfect.
