Anya + Chris | Engagement Session | SC Wedding Photographer

Meet one of our 2013 Brides, Anya and her fiance, Chris. Anya and Chris are getting hitched next April! AH. Such a beautiful month! We cannot WAIT for their wedding to come . . . Lots of planning and details are already taking place! Till then . . .

. . . We can start their celebration with their wonderful Engagement! Their session took place in Orangeburg, SC on the owner of Super Sod’s plantation! What a wonderful place to go . . . and SOOO many things to work with! Not to mention, the couple was the EASIEST couple! They just start loving on each other before you even hint / tell / mention to them what to do! PERFECT if you ask me. Nothing like capturing a true couple and their true love.

Enjoy your session Anya and Chris! We look forward to the wedding day!

Please help this couple reach 20 comments on their blog post to receive a FREE prize from Tomme Hilton Gallery! And if you are interested in our Gallery, please email us for more details at gallery.tommehilton@gmail.com  — We look forward to hearing from you!

Best PROP Contest | Charleston & Columbia SC Wedding Photography

It’s time that we give our 2012 / 2013 Brides something to WIN for their wedding!! And we introduce to you the 2012 BEST PROP CONTEST.

We LOVE love LOVE when our clients purchase / find / have props for our Gallery to use for their sessions. We try our hardest to find extra props ourselves . . . but sometimes, we just get plain bored with what we have . . . and unless we are millionaires, we can’t afford to purchase new props for EVERY session. SO, we want YOU to find us some awesome props to use for YOUR session and sessions in the future!

Here are the rules:
1. You find us an AWESOME PROP for us to keep.

2. Write us an email (gallery.tommehilton@gmail.com) about your prop + include an image of your prop

3. We gather all entries and decide who will provide our gallery with the most unique / universal / awesome prop for the next year to be used in sessions.

What will you win?

You will win either a FREE Engagement Session OR a FREE Bridal Session (you get to chose which session you want) . . . and the booster? We will even provide you with a disk of the best 25 images from your session!

How awesome is that? A FREE session for some cool junk? I’m in! So dig thru that garage / barn / thrift store and find us something totally RAD to use in your session + sessions to come! OH and if you don’t have something old to rummage thru? But you have a ‘skill’ to make something? Even better! Doesn’t matter how you come across this awesome Prop, just as long as we get to keep it!

Your prop for a FREE Session.

Christina + Adam | Wedding Photography

The first weekend in May . . . Where to begin? It was a hectic one for Tomme and I. Tomme had two weddings that weekend (assisting a Friday night wedding and photographing a wedding for THG Saturday) + a ‘LOVE’ session on Sunday . . . while I had small sessions all that week up until my wedding I was photographing on Saturday. So total, that week we had 3 sessions + 3 weddings. How we made it thru? We don’t have a clue! BUT, we have awesome photos to show for it!

We want to first debut the Lorick / Clayton wedding.  My first solo wedding of 2012.

Remember Christina and Adam? Click here for their engagement session. And here for Christina’s bridals.

As I had mentioned before in their previous blog posts, ALL of their sessions took place at their home in Swansea . . . where I fell in LOVE with all the awesome locations they had for their sessions / wedding! Not to mention falling in love with the couple. Christina and Adam really are one in a million. You can tell the love they have for each other . . . it’s true and genuine. And the spunk they both have is to die for! Their reception was one of the best I have been too all year! It was filled with everyone dancing . . . everyone laughing . . . everyone just have a good ole’ time! Take a look at their wedding day!

Please help Christina and Adam receive a FREE gift from Tomme Hilton Gallery by commenting on their blog post. They must reach 20 comments!

Money’s Tight | Charleston and Columbia, SC Wedding Photographer

We often get inquiries about session / wedding and will get the response of ‘Money is Tight’ or ‘We just can’t afford it right now’ or ‘I found something cheaper’. And that is fine. We understand. Trust us . . . We know what budgeting is ALL about. We don’t, by any means, live an extravagant lifestyle where ‘budget’ doesn’t appear at least twice a day! j. Maybe not that often, but you know what I mean. We completely understand.

We are aware of our price point. We are aware of our quality of work. We are aware of those other photographers out there in our line of business. We are aware of the competition. We know that not everyone can afford us. However, we also know that there are a number of people out there who just don’t know how to think about the ‘importantance’ of things.

We recently were sent a blog post by email this week . . . that discusses a woman who booked a $500 session with a photographer. She at the last minute cancelled because she knew she couldn’t ‘afford’ the session at the time. — I’m not going to explain the entire post because we want you to read it first hand — But, after a few life altering things happen to her and her family, she calculated $200+ of non-necessity items that she could have ‘lived without’ and put towards a session all within a matter of two weeks (correct me if I’m wrong on some calculations).

Please go and read this post. It just amazes me how things can change. And how often we don’t think about how to ‘preserve’ the time we have with our loved ones.

Jessica & Jon Ralph | Wedding

Jessica & Jon Ralph’s G U E S T Blog:

{Our story: John Ralph and I met in 9th grade and were friends throughout high school. He likes to say I “never gave him the time of day”, being the cheerleader from the rival high school, but I always considered him to be someone I admired. He had more drive than most guys and I always knew I would hear about the great things he would accomplish one day. Little did I know, I would be celebrating those accomplishments with him. After we both went our separate ways in college we lost communication for a while. Thanks to social networking (facebook and old school instant messaging) we reconnected in our second year of college. John Ralph invited me to be his date to his sisters debutant ball over christmas break. That night was when things between us started to change into something more than “just friends”. The following february I flew to new york to visit him at West Point and see the big apple. That weekend we knew we were onto something good. Three years, and lots of phone calls, plane rides, and letters later, John Ralph decided to put an end to our long distance relationship by asking me to marry him during a trip to Charleston. We planned a wedding in three weeks so we could move to Italy together for his job (he is an officer in the US Army). And the rest is history!}

We hope you enjoyed the images! If you are interested in Tomme Hilton Gallery, please email us at gallery.tommehilton@gmail.com — We would love to work with you!
